Dhaka MSC remain top

Two magic strokes within two minutes of Ameli helped Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club to remain at the top of the Citycell Bangladesh League 2009 point table as they beat Arambagh Krira Shangha 2-1 on Sunday at Bangabandhu National Stadium.


Striker Zahid Hasan Ameli scored two goals in 79th and 80th minute for big giant Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club, who recorded their fourth win as many matches.


The national striker headed his first goal in a left-flank cross from Mamunul Islam in the 79th minute and he scored second at 80th minute from Alamu Bokola cutback as the Black-white reached top of the table with maximum 12 points and goal different from Abahani.


Nigerian midfielder Subair Muhammed reduced the margin for hosts-side at the stoppage times.


Arambagh Krira shangha remained 7th of the 13-team table after losing their first games in the league.
