Reefat and Dibyendu Barua are jointly leading

GM Reefat Bin Sattar of Biman and GM Dibyendu Barua of India are now jointly lead in the points table with 3½ points each after end of the 4th round games of the 9th United Insurance & United Leasing Grandmasters Chess Tournament-2009.

The event sponsored by United Insurance Company Limited and United Leasing Company Limited and organised by Bangladesh Chess Federation is now being held at the Conference-room of National Sports Council. GM Mikheil Mchedlishvili and GM Merab Gagunashvili of Georgia, Igors Rausis of Czech Republic, GM Rustam Khusnutdinov of Kazakistan and GM Neelotpal Das of India are sharing 2nd position with 3 points each. 4th round games were held yesterday (Sunday).

In the 4th round Reefat drew with highest rated player of the event Mchedlishvili, Barua beat GM Reefat Bin Sattar, Neelotpal drew with Gagunashvili, Rausis drew with Khusnutdinov, FM Minhazuddin Ahmed beat Jamal Uddin, Vinoth Kumar beat Sharmin Sultana Shirin and Badrilal Nepali drew with Tandukar Naveen. GM Enamul Hossain Razib played with Praveen Kumar of India, GM Ismagambetov Anuar played with IM Atanu Lahiri, GM Tejas Bakre of India played FM Sahaj Grover of India, FM Abu Sufian Shakil of Biman played with Bitan Banerjee of India. Games are continued.

5th round games will start today (Monday) from 3:30 PM.
